LG Electronics is planning to launch Google Inc.?s Internet-TV in the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week.

Google TV allows consumers to access online videos and websites on their TVs, as well as gain access to specialized apps such as games.

LG?s Google TV combines its Android-based user interface with the Magic Remote Qwerty designed by LG. The user interface of the TV and its main screen allow convenient browsing and content selection. Users can multi-task and run the search, social networking and TV functions simultaneously.

?LG has constantly strived to provide consumers with wider choices in home entertainment that bring the highest level of sophistication and convenience. Through Google TV, LG has merged Google?s established Android operating system with LG?s proven 3D and Smart TV technologies, offering consumers a new and enthralling TV experience,? Havis Kwon, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company stated.

Apart from LG, Google is also working with Sony, Samsung, Marvell Technology Group, MediaTek and TV manufacturer Vizio for its Google TV service.
